CROSSES: A Pop Up Exhibit by Roy Hills

The Rev William L. (Roy) Hills Jr. has been a woodworker for most of his life. He is Priest-in-charge of St. James Santee Episcopal Church in McClellanville, SC. When Covid 19 struck and interupted regular church work, he decided to take a sabbatical. Tinkering in his workshop among other projects, he began making crosses. Finding to be “good therapy” in the time of Covid this exhibit is a culmination.

It is a visual display of this enduring symbol. Thirty two unique crosses, embracing standard presentations and interesting interpretations of this Christian symbol using many different materials are on display.
