Abalone Seashells

  • McClellanville Arts Council 733 Pinckney Street McClellanville, SC, 29458 United States (map)

Free kids class led by Mrs. Carrie for ages 5 & up!

Abalones are marine snails, often found in tidal pools. Although the outside of the shell is fairly full, the inside can be an iridescent array of colors ranging from silvery white to pink to red, or green to blue to purple. This project uses chalk pastels to mimic the swirling colors of the shell, and finishes with a silver oil pastel.

All art materials are provided; please bring a filled water bottle. Masks are required. For children under 5, an adult should plan to stay for the duration of the class. Space is limited; please call 843-887-3157 to reserve your spot.

**THIS CLASS HAS REACHED CAPACITY- please call us to be added to wait list.
