“Low Country Grass” by Emily Bengal
Emily is a self taught artist who enjoys painting from her home in the Old Village where she lives with her husband and daughter. She grew up on Johns Island surrounded by dirt roads, rivers, and beautiful marshes.
Her abstract marsh paintings reflect her childhood memories of rivers, pluff mud and the marsh. She creates lively and bright images of the low country’s beauty by using mixed media.
