Laurie Candelaria is an artist living and  working in Charleston, SC. Laurie grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and was influenced by artists like Georgia O’Keefe.  Being surrounded by art at an early age helped ignite her passion as an artist to follow her dreams.   After receiving her Bachelors of Arts at the University of New Mexico, Laurie worked in metalsmithing and jewelry design.  Over the years, Laurie has worked in many art mediums from metalsmithing, stained glass, and watercolor painting.  In the past five years, she has exclusively painted.  Her watercolor paintings highlight nature, wildlife and especially all the beauty of the Lowcountry.
