It’s a Bug’s Life Camp
July 24th - 28th
9:00 - 12:30
Ages 4 - 9
This camp's curriculum focuses on insect identification, botany and natural arts. Campers will start by learning how to identify an insect through song and dance. Then students will go on a bug hunt. After learning what an insect is, campers will learn all about pollinators. Games using paint will help them to understand the important jobs of pollinators and plants. Students will then create bug hotels using recycled materials and watch through the week as bugs live it up in their creations. Students will learn about the ways bugs camouflage themselves. This will lead into an art project of creating a bug of their choice using natural materials. Other lessons on the life cycle of a caterpillar will be included along with using a butterfly's symmetry through art. Snacks will be provided daily but please send a water bottle with your camper and a light lunch. Spaces are limited so please sign up today.
