This Pop Up media exhibit of Vennie Deas Moore’s unpublished work celebrates the people of McClellanville across incorporated lines. “Folks of McClellanville” signals a departure from Deas Moore’s classic format with past and present brought together via television screen– reflecting the transient nature of people and cultures around the world.
A selection from ETV’s “Between the Waters” podcast will accompany the exhibit and allow visitors to learn histories and hear the stories and perspective that are intrinsic in “Folks of McClellanville.”
This exhibit will be on view on view at the M.A.C. during gallery hours, on Fridays and Saturdays from 11a-3p from Sept 12th- Oct 3rd.
We would like to thank our community members Dean and Carmen Byrd for helping us make this exhibit possible. Thank you!
